Looks like we made it.

Look how far we've come now darling! 10 years of marriage! Thank you Philip.
Yep, it's 10 years already and I'm still in-love with my tuan. We came this far together because we work hard to make it. Personally for me, it's the imperfections that make my marriage to Philip so darn perfect. I actually wanted to post a ton of pictures but I jusy couldn't make it. It's been one late night after another. On wednesday we held a dinner party for our closest and dearest friends and family. It was great as everyone mingled so well, food was alot and drinks abundant. By the time it reached 1am, Philip who was dead beat just fell asleep on the sofa while our friends were quite at home mixing their own drinks. When the night finally ended at 3am, Philip, myself and the kids just went off to bed. I was in no state to blog, talk, drink or go anywhere on Thursday. It was also the day Joce & Scott headed home to Philly. I will load up pics as soon as I can, most likely next year....! Cheers and a Happy New Year to one and all.

presents, presents everywhere! so Christmas finally came and my chickadees were more than happy to rip their presents open. It was busy busy as with the rest of you I imagine. Philip took the kids for last minute shopping (my presents,,,ahem) while i tried to get the home in an orderly manner. We went for the children's mass as Megs was taking part in the christmas play; and children will be children, they only could sit still for at least 30 minutes. In any case the mass was lovely. After that Edward & Mish left for her aunt's place while we came home to pie and chicken curry. Christmas day was at mummy's where Philip the chief cook prepared his delicious brunch for us, a day of drinking, picture taking it ended on a high with turkey for dinner. Posted by Picasa

A Walk With The Birds

Ok so let’s go thru’ a re-cap of what I did this past week….. shopping, cleaning, shouting, more shopping and a trip to the botanic gardens. I walked so much that my butt actually hurts, just goes to show how much I don’t exercise! While the 3 men Scott, Edward & Philip were taking in everything with great interest, Jocelyn, Mummy & myself were just waiting to get it over with. The birds are lovely but you know, see one you’ve seen them all. My apologies to all you bird lovers for my lack of appreciation. Philip, the photographer enthusiast must have used up his memory card at the way he was snapping; and while he took plenty of lovely pictures, I shall be the wicked witch and not post them….. ha ha. Instead I shall post pictures taken with my Samsung mobile phone. Apart from transportation, it was indeed a very nice day ended with Thai food and sleepy children.

Christmas Shopping

Christmas Shopping With Children

Every year I say to myself that I need to start shopping for Christmas presents early, but every year I still continue to join in the mad rush. Well apart from having the “later can” approach, shopping at the last minute does give me a Christmassy high. The atmosphere is wonderful, though the people rushing like there’s no tomorrow can be oh so annoying, especially unenthusiastic kids in tow. This is my routine subject to change, before I leave home and head out shopping.

3 glasses of wine

Well here I am trying desperately to keep awake after 3 glasses of wine with mummy & Joce. If not for the fact that Philip took some lovely pictures, I wouldn’t even bother. I don’t know where he went, but as soon as the rain stopped, Philip was out the door armed with only his camera and photo buddy Edward. We spent the day over at mummy’s and after a sumptuous meal, we had to have a game of scrabble. It was fun alright as we just laughed hard (especially Mischa) almost continuously. There were newly created words which went un-noticed & uncontested. Ok, so Edward noticed most of the flaws as usual, but what the heck, it didn’t matter (to our convenience) as he wasn’t even playing. Jocelyn too was a very active sideline player. I finally won a game! It was thrilling for me as I beat Philip!

All pictures are taken by Philip.

The Dyers' Have Arrived

My sister Jocelyn & BIL Scott arrived safely this morning.... early this morning from Philadelphia. I was so excited that I couldn't even sleep. Finally at 1am I silently went in to bed where Philip was already snoring away. I waited for Megs to wake up, quickly did some housework and rushed over. The 3 chickadees were of course totally delighted to see them. It's been 2 years since we last saw each other, and tho' we talk on the phone regularly, it's nothing like seeing them. Also they are our contracted pc technicians and on their visists they usually do some maintenance & servicing for us...!
Mummy as usual was busy with the cooking..... "Thanks mummy for the delicious food, sorry for messing up your home!"

Well its the beginni

Well it’s the beginning of another week. The end of one brings us closer to Christmas! The past week was a good one; with a visitors from the Isle of Wales and Jurong West. Friends of ours, Matthew, Sandra and 4 month old Eldon, spent the day with us. It was lovely catching up exchanging experiences on motherhood. Still by the end of the day after a lovely meal and conversations, I came home contented with my 3 chickadees.

IN MEMORY OF PHILIP LOUIS MACHADO

The 2nd of December marked the 16th anniversary of my father-in-law. Sadly I never got to meet him. If he were here with us today, he would be extremely proud of his family.

Philip and I closed the week with a BANG! A few rounds of scrabble with..... I shan't say who, left us on a high cause we won! Credit must be given to the 3rd playee, oops I mean player, as she/he was generous in providing openings. So thank you.....!

So this is my second attempt at entering something. Yep, I botched up the first one, which was saved by Edward (the family blog Master) ahem. Me and my big ideas.... One thing's for sure, I'm not a writer but a reader; actually even that I'm not! sigh.

The logo SiMach productions was derived for our names Simon (mine) and Machado (Philips'). As a hobby of mine, I churn out home videos, from uncut, unedited to a musical montage. This can take me from 2hrs to 2 months, depending on what needs to be done, how much housework I have and of course if my 3 little chickidees sleep early. So in any case, I appointed Cool Bee Studios, comprising of Jocelyn, Scott & John to come up with something, and wah-la this pic.

I've been having problems with this blog so I'm going to end abruptly before I get cut off again
