Bali..... the place to be
Ok so for whatever reason I can't seem to type anything on my post with pictures only. Anyhow, sorry for the long absence..... did any of you miss me? Well, we've just come home from a wonderful trip to Bali, yep BALI. Everything there seemed fine and tourists don't seem deterred one bit by all the bombings. Hans & Rhani, put us up at this lovely hotel Patra-Jasa, excellent I tell you and the bathroom.....WOW! The kids had an awesome time and of course didn't want to come home, what else is new? They throughly enjoyed themselves, especially since they had their two good friends Kevin & Thalia with them throughout. Bad influences we were, encourage them to miss school. We were doing something all the time, from shopping, visiting Kintamani Volcano, going down slides the Water Bom, shopping again, and just spending time with good friends. It was Indopura continued, tho' not complete without Karen & Narin and Sammy. The highlight of the trip for the kids will definitely have to be going to the disco Karma Sutra, they were just comfortable running in and out, up & down the place. Mikey was feeling like a big kid running around with them. The no so exciting part of the trip, will have to be driving up to Kintamani. It was a long long drive; Hans & Rhani took their kids out of school and off we went. Baba was feeling car sick and by the time we reached, it was raining and we could not see much of the volcano!!!
So we came home all tired out and sunburned and ready to start saving for our next trip....!

So it was Mikey's 3rd birthday on Wednesday, the 8th of March and as usual, I had nothing planned. Still the little rascal had an enjoyable day with his presents. Apart from a cake and games organised by the two elder ones, it was a simple day. Yesterday we had a little bbq over here with Edward, Mischa, Mummy and our resident guest Karen (katek), Kevin & Kellynn.
Other than that, it's been a relatively quiet week. My shows are back on air so I haven't been on the pc that often. I have to say, this year's idol hopefuls aren't that fantastic. What do you think? I'm dissappointed that Gideon was booted off. That boy has TALENT!!!

Blah Blah Blah
It’s been a crazy past 2 weeks for me, as I’ve been somewhat pre-occupied with preparation of Baba’s CA1. At the rate and way I’m going, it feels like I’m the one doing the exam!! Baba is soooo….. blasé about it all, it frustrates me. What do I do with a child that just doesn’t like to learn??!
On a lighter note, it’s fast approaching the 3rd birthday of Mikey, the little terror. I can still remember this stage of pregnancy with him. I was waiting to have him out, this date 3yrs ago, I was into my 35th week and ready to burst. Although I enjoyed all my pregnancies, I just don’t know how some women can last all 40 weeks of pregnancy, thank God all my 3 chickadees came out at the beginning of the 36th week. Let’s see, Baba was due November 11 but was born October 28th, Megan was due July 3rd but was born June 18th and Mikey, due April 2nd and was born March 8th! The years past so fast and the kids grow up quickly; and as much as I grumble about all the crazy on-goings in casa Machado, I am lovin' it!

A Sad Sad Week
It’s been one sad week for me and my family on my mothers’ side. First it started with me receiving shocking news of the sudden death of my friend’s boyfriend; he was only in his early 30’s. I was thinking how unfair……. Then, we receive news that Granny had a heart attack and was in the hospital in Perth. Sadly, soon after she passed away; fortunately, she had some of her children with her at the time. So I have been going thru’ the days as per normal but with a heavy feeling inside. Although, I know that Granny lived a full life, it is still sad to know that another loved one is now gone, she is the one person who was always there.
Granny lived to a ripe old age of 88! Not only did Granny survive two world wars and raise 8 children, she lived to see her grand and great grandchildren, how wonderful is that? Granny was a remarkable woman who led a remarkable life; and we still don’t have her secret “hot stuff” recipe! So I leave you with this “ take nothing and no one for granted, life is short, live it with no regrets, do what you can for who you can and really it doesn’t matter who makes the first move.”
