Birthday, Baptism & Falling Ceiling

Last week being Holy Week was a rather quick one. It was Mummy’s 67th birthday on Wednesday, 12th April. We decided to take mummy out for a pre-birthday dinner on Tuesday as Edward had to attend a meeting on Wednesday itself. So, Tuan & I thought why not go for Japanese at the now defunct Europa Country Club. We had $300 worth of vouchers to spend. As we were making our way in the taxi to Thomson, my dear Tuan rings me and says “guess what? It’s closed down already!” I’m like “are you sure? They said the closure will happen end April?!” See what happens when we don’t read the newsletter properly…… Anyway, we then ring Edward and decided to have dinner at lagoon, mummy’s choice and a good one.
On Wednesday itself, we went over to mummy’s for dinner. We were having a drink of Bacardi-coke, and she was telling me that her left eye was twitching the whole day (which to usually means something bad is going to happen), just then we heard a loud crash, and guess what? Part of the ceiling in the common bathroom fell!!!!!
Easter Sunday was an early start, with a baptism mass at 8.30am at St Theresa’s. Yep I’m once again Godma (this is my fifth time). My Godson Dylan Mateo is a real darling. This was followed by breakfast with Andrew, Eileen, kids, Edward & Mish. The day was ended with dinner at our place (white sauce pasta with salami) and drinks, plain water. In all a good week.
